Privacy policy

Seedbox Daily Backups is a utility used only by its owner to recover the owner's seedbox configuration and torrent metadata.

Data included in backups

Recovery archives include rTorrent session information, torrent metadata, ruTorrent settings, Swizzin and supporting server configuration, and files needed to reinstall the configured software. Downloaded torrent content is excluded.

Some recovery configuration contains credentials, including the utility's Google Drive authorization configuration. These files are included so the owner can recover the backup setup. The owner should treat the archives as sensitive.

How data is used and stored

The utility prepares archives in administrator-only working directories on the owner's server and uploads them to the owner's private Google Drive backup folder. It reads uploaded archives back to verify integrity and checks the contents in an isolated recovery directory.

The requested Google Drive permission is drive.file, which permits access to files created by or used with this app. The configured backup job uses it for its own backup folder and archives. It does not request broad access to unrelated Drive files.

Administration records include backup times, archive sizes, verification results, and failures. Backup archives from failed attempts may remain in administrator-only storage for troubleshooting.

Retention and sharing

The scheduled job keeps the latest three verified compressed backups in Google Drive. Older backup copies are removed only after a new archive has uploaded and passed verification.

Backup contents are sent to Google Drive at the owner's request. The utility does not send them to advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties. Google handles its services under its own privacy policy and terms.

Owner control

The owner can stop the scheduled job or revoke the app's access in the Google Account connections settings. Revocation prevents future authorized access; it does not remove archives already stored in Drive. The owner controls those files and can download or delete them in Drive.

These pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising, forms, or tracking cookies. The hosting provider may process routine connection information when serving pages. No backup content or authorization credentials are published here.
